2024 Scotchmans Hill Riesling

A captivating bouquet of fresh citrus fruits, predominantly lemon and lime, with a hint of mandarin. Underlying notes of green apple and ripe pear are complemented by a subtle minerality and a trace of white flowers. 

This Riesling is crisp and invigorating on the palate, showcasing a perfect balance of bright acidity and ripe fruit flavours. Zesty lemon and lime take centre stage, while the juicy green apple and pear contribute to a harmonious fruit profile. A refined minerality and a touch of honeyed sweetness enhance the wine’s complexity, giving it a well-rounded and elegant character.

The finish is long and refreshing, with a lingering citrus zest and a clean, vibrant aftertaste. The wine’s acidity provides excellent balance, ensuring a persistent and satisfying finish

Wine Region: Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria. 

Clone: Geisenheim 198. - Soil Type: Self mulching black verosol derived from tertiary basalt.

Harvest Date: 08/03/24

Winemaking: Whole bunch pressed, fermented at 13°C for 14 days, extended less contact 4 months. The wine was then stabilised, filtered and bottled June 2023. - Cellaring: 2025 to 2033
