Pale straw in appearance. Complex nose displaying aromatic notes of strawberries and raspberries, brioche, and savoury undertones. The palate is fresh and elegant with red fruits, bready autolysis notes, soft spice, and a savoury backbone. The wine is dry with a long persistent finish. |

Winemaking Region: Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria. Clone: MV6 Soil Type: Self mulching black vertosol derived from tertiary basalt. Harvest Date: 13/03/20 Yield: 1.1kg/vine, 1.1tn/acre, 2.75tn/ha, 19.2hl/ha Post Bottling: 11.4% alc, 3.12pH, 6.9g/l acid Oak Use: 6 months in 2 to 4 year old French barriques Winemaking: Handpicked, whole bunch pressed with free run juice to barrel, wild fermented took place over 10 days. The yeast lees were stirred regularly over the next 6 months while maturing in barrel. The wine was then blended, fined, filtered and bottled. |
