BH17 - 2014 Swan Bay Chardonnay
Nectarine and white peach with citrus fruits dominating the bouquet. This is complimented by creamy overtones, spice and cedar oak. The palate provides up-front fruit flavours of nectarine, white peach, melon and lemon citrus with a mineral edge throughout the palate. Creamy and nutty oak characters round out the wine, which has a long and lingering back palate.
70% of the fruit was pressed to barrel for fermentation, and aged for 6 months in French oak barriques. 30% / balance of wine fermented in stainless steel tanks before being blended and bottled. 13.5% ABV.
