BH17 - 2014 Scotchmans Hill Sauvignon Blanc
Lifted tropical fruit aromas of paw-paw, guava and passionfruit dominate the nose with green notes and citrus characters. Fresh, tight and juicy with upfront tropical fruits. A citrus and mineral mid palate gives way to a creamy back palate. Enjoy over the next few years while displaying its fresh varietal characters.
Crushed, de-stemmed and pressed to tanks. Fermented at 13ºC for 14 days, extended lees contact 4 months. The wine was then stabilised, filtered and bottled October 2014. 13.0% ABV.
"Crushed and pressed, tank-fermented at 13ºC for 14 days. There is an uncommon depth and concentration to the fruit, the flavours spanning gooseberry/kiwi fruit/citrus through to guava and green pineapple, all threatening to break asunder."
