2011 RSPCA Cornelius Syrah
Light to medium-bodied but deliciously complex. Woodsmoke, meat, pepper, game and light sour-sweet cherries. It struggles against the coolness of the vintage but keeps its head above water. Fine, intricate, ripe tannin, shot-through with crushed leaves and spice. In no way feels and tastes like a 15% alc wine. Slight bitterness to the aftertaste isn't necessarily a negative.
